GREENUP — Fox Valley Barbie continues to claim victories and this one came in the only day of harness racing at the Cumberland County Fair Monday.
Owned by Bart Seales of Altamont and Penny White, Fox Valley Barbie has been on a run and this time around she won the ISA 2-Year-Old Filly Pace with Wyatt Avenatti in the bike in 2:06 4/5. Kevin Miller is the trainer.
Avenatti then drove the winner in the last race on the card, the ISA 3-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Pace. Avenatti went the distance with He’sadarkshark in 1:59 4/5 for the victory.
Avenatti, Harold Finn Jr., and Marcus Detwiler each claimed two victories in the bike.
Finn won the 2-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Trot behind Dooleyvillerephil in 2:12. He Also trains the winner.
Finn then claimed the 3-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Trot with Hidalgo Otis. The pair went the distance in 2:04 4/5. Finn also trains and owns Hidalgo Otis along with Jacqueline Finn.
Detweiler was the driver behind Captain Abraham in the ISA 2-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Pace. The pair won in 2:05 4/5. Detweiler also trains the horse owned by Lester Detweiler.
Marcus Detweiler, who owns trains and drives Shadey Maple Becky won behind her in the ISA 3-Year-Old FiIly Trot. The pair won with a time of 2:04 4/5.
Harness racing returns sto the Illinois State Fair in Springfield Wednesday and Thursday.
