SPRINGFIELD — Altamont’s Kyle Husted crossed the finish line first several times in Saturday’s harness races at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield.
Husted won behind Fox Valley Landen in the Colt Stakes Horse & Geldings Four-Year-Olds & Up Pace. Also the trainer, Husted led Fox Valley Landen to the win in 1:53 1/5.
He then took the Fillies & Mares Four Year Olds & Up Pace behind Fox Valley Sadie. Husted and Fox Valley Sadie won in 1:52 2/5.
He won back-to-back races, claiming the next race, the Fillies & Mares Four Year Olds & Up Pace. Fox Valley Tessa won with a time of 1:52.1.
Racing continues Wednesday at the State Fair with post time at 9:50 a.m.
