HENRY — Steven Searle drove Here Comes Bob to victory in the ISA 2-Year-Old Colt Trot Sunday at the Henry County Fair.
But his driving wasn’t the big news. Searle picked up his 1,000th career win as a trainer behind Here Comes Bob. Searle and Here Comes Bob went the distance in 2:09.1.
In other news, Matthew Avenatti was the big winner on the day, driving three horses to victory. Avenatti took Illinigameday to the win in the ISA 2-Year-Old Colt Pace in 2:04. He drove Fox Valley Lava to the win in the ISA 3-Year-Old Filly Pace in 1:59.1.
And the third victory came in the ISA 3-Year-Old Trot. He went the distance with Shady Maple Becker in 2:07.2.
Several area horses will be at the Farmer City Fair this evening with a 5:30 p.m. post-time.
