NEWTON — Freddie Patton Jr., Wyatt Avenatti and Clark Fairley picked up two victories each as harness racing got underway at the Jasper County Fair Monday.
Patton was seated behind Sea Captain in the seventh race, the ISA 3-Year-Old Colt/Gelding Pace, Division I. He guided Sea Captain to the win in 2:05 2/5.
Patton then guided Br Ezliksndymornin to the win in the Topline 3-Year-Old & Up Pace, Division 1. Patton and Br Ezliksndymornin went the distance in 2:02 1/5.
Wyatt Avenatti also went the distance behind two winners. Avenatti guided Hopes De Vie to the victory in the ISA 3-Year-Old Colt/Gelding Trot, Division 2 in 2:07.0.
He was then seated behind Fox Valley Lava in the ISA 3-Year-Old Filly Pace, Division 2. The pair went the distance in 2:05 3/5.
Clark Fairley was a winner in the ISA 3-Year-Old Filly Pace, Division 1. He guided Littleoldme to the win in 2:08. He then finished out the racing on the day in the Topline 3-Year-Old & Up Colt/Gelding Pace, Division 2. He and Dash Around went the distance in 2:02.0.
Racing finishes out at the fair today with 11 heats. Post time is 6:30 p.m.
