The Apollo Conference Boys golf tournament was held at Effingham Country Club Tuesday.
Mt. Zion bested the field with a 293, Mahomet-Seymour finished second with a 302 followed closely by Effingham’s 303 and Charleston’s 305. Taylorville’s 346, and Mattoon’s 408 rounded out the field.
Individually Charleston’s Hudson Meister was the medalist with a 67. Effingham’s Jude Traub and Mt. Zion’s Tommy Whitley tied for second with each shooting a 70. Jack Swingler from Effingham finished fourth with a 71.
Traub and Swingler earned All-Conference honors by finishing in the top eight on the day.
Other scores for the Hearts were Leo Wyckoff with a 79, Brody Boehm and 83, Cannon Bockhorn shot an 87, and Owen Nuxoll finished with a 91.
