The Charleston High School Trojan Scramble took place Saturday at the Charleston Country Club.
St. Anthony’s Varsity took the win with a 179. Teutopolis Varsity was second with a 191, followed by Charleston’s Varsity in third with a team total of 199. Fourth was St. Joe Ogden – 206, fifth St. Anthony JV – 210, sixth was Paris – 219, Teutopolis JV – 223 was seventh, Windsor/Stew-Stras – 224 finished eighth, ninth was Oblong – 233, and Altamont shot a 250 to finish 10th.
Top Individuals were Alec Hakman & Logan Gowan with a 58. Second was Drake Brown and Briggs Whitley with a 59. Fourth was Maddox Clark and Jameson McAllaster with a 62, all from St. Anthony. The Teutopolis duo of Kade Pennington and Owen Kramer finished 5th with a 63.
Effingham competed at the Mt. Zion Cup on Saturday and came up a stroke short in a very competitive event that saw Charleston pick up the win with a 215, The Hearts were second with a 216, and Mt. Zion Shot a 218 for third.
Individual results for Effingham included Leo Wyckoff & Cannon Bockhorn winning the Alternate Shot with a 74.
The Best Ball saw Jack Swingler & Owen Nuxoll finished with a 72 to earn second place. In the Scramble Jude Traub & Brody Boehm combined for a 70 finishing in fourth place.
