Effingham St. Anthony edged Effingham 147-149 in boys golf competition Wednesday.
St. Anthony’s Logan Gowin and Effingham’s Jack Swingler shared medalist honors with a 34 each.
Drake Brown tallied a 37 for the Bulldogs while Jameson McAllaster and Alec Hakman shot a 38 each to round out the Bulldogs scoring. Also competing were Maddux Clark 40 and Briggs Whitley 42.
Also scoring for Effingham were Jude Traub 35, Leo Wyckoff 38 and Brody Boehm 42. Others competing were Cannon Bockhorn 45 and Allyn Koester 58.
At Olney
North Clay’s Kennedy Jones competed in a girls meet at the Richland Country Club Wednesday.
Kennedy tallied a 44, earning her medalist honors. Also competing was Mackenzie Winterrowd who tied for third place with a 48.
Jacob Arnold took part in the boys match for North Clay and finished with a 58.
