 Altamont Second In Boys Golf, St. Anthony, T-town’s Junior Varsity Teams Compete

OBLONG — Altamont, along with Oakland, competed at Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville in boys golf Tuesday.

Altamont’s Evan Elam, a sophomore, was medalist with a 39. Also scoring for the Indians were Mason Schaub 45, Joel Bauer 45 and Harrison Lash 49.

Non-counting scores were Henry Niemann 50, Hunter Grobengieser 50, Chase Pals 50 and Garrett Flood 68.

Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville was the team winner with 173 followed by Altamont 178 and Oakland 213.

Altamont had one golfer competing in the girls meet. Cecilia Pearcy finished with a 58.

Olney, Richland County had a team score of 207 followed by Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville 217. Oakland also had one player.

 

At Effingham

Effingham St. Anthony’s junior varsity claimed a 163-187 victory over Unity Thursday.

The Bulldogs’ James Trupiano was medalist with a 39. Also scoring were Cole Adams 40, Trenton Sandschafer 42 and Daniel Ramos 42.

Liam McAllaster and Andrew Meyer finished with a 43 each.

Scorning for Unity were Carter Keeley 43, Charlie Watson 46, Cole Zorns 47 and Ashton Wolf 51. Non-counters were Bryan Kleiss 56 and Braden Dalton 77.

 

At Pana

Teutopolis High School’s junior varsity traveled to Pana Tuesday for a dual with host Pana.

Pana won the match 177-255. The Shoes were led by Jack Weber 42, Carter Mette 43 Eli Weber 45 and Bo Kreke 47. Mason Thompson and Drew Kirby had a 49 each, Gavin Althoff 50, Karson Zerrusen 53 and Ben Sandschafer 56.
