 Effingham Girls Win Four Team Golf Meet, T-town Downs Salem, North Clay’s Kennedy Jones Medalist

SULLIVAN — Effingham High School won a four-team girls golf meet at the Sullivan Country Club Monday.

EHS tallied a 170 followed by Charleston 215, Sullivan 221 and Pana 230.

The Hearts’ Ella Tuman and Kylie Pryor were co-medalists with a 41 each. Also scoring for the Hearts were Natalie Armstrong 42 and Allison Kroenlein 46. Others competing were Addi Ruiz 50 and Makenna Mayhood 51.

Scoring for Charleston were Morgan Smallhorn 46, Marie Babbs 51, Grace Goehner 56 and Lilly Thomas 62. Non-counters were Dylan Milton 69 and Olivia Rice 71.

Scoring for Sullivan were Kate Bushue 47, Devon Richardson 53, Joanna Rickleman 58 and Kara Burwell 63. Gracelyn Johnson added a 71.

No scoring was listed for Pana.

 

At Teutopolis

Molly Habing was medalist as Teutopolis High School won over Salem by a 174-180 count Monday.

Habing scored a 39 followed by teammates Brileigh Bloemer fourth with a 41, Olivia Wermert fifth with a 46 and Halle Bushue sixth with a 48.

Others competing for the Wooden Shoes were Brooke Thoele eighth with a 49 and Josie Willenborg 12th with a 62.

Salem’s top finishers were Mya Russell and Reagan Shuler second with a 40 each. Also scoring were Brenna Hays sixth with a 48 and Brynn Kessler ninth with a 52.

Others competing for the Wildcats were Hannah Duncan 10th with a 55 and Addison Lever 11th with a 61.

 

At Flora

Kennedy Jones competed at the Clay County Country Club and was medalist.

Jones shot a 37. Her teammate Mackenzie Winterrowd finished second with a 48.
