Effingham High School claimed a girls triangular golf match over Effingham St. Anthony and Mount Zion Tuesday.
The Hearts tallied a 169 followed by St. Anthony 172 and Mount Zion 215.
St. Anthony’s Gianna Frisbie was medalist with a 38.
The Hearts were led by Natalie Armstrong with a 41. Also scoring were Ella Tuman 42, Makenna Mayhood 42 and Kylie Pryor 44. Others competing were Allison Kroenlein 45, Hannah Buckman 54, Kennedy Tolliver 59 and Emily Loew 59.
Scoring for the Bulldogs, along with Frisbie, were Brooklyn Phillips 41, Tessa Ludwig 46 and Adria Moberly 47. Others competing were Lucy Bierman 51, Tenley Sams 52, Liza Kuhns 55 and Lauren Myers 59.
Mount Zion was led by Macy Hittmeier and Tatum Gray with a 52 each, Ana Kanemaru 54 and Julia Daniels 57. Non-counters were Elena Kernan 58 and Haily Hahn 68.
At Vandalia
Effingham was a winner in boys action against Vandalia by a 150-185 tally Tuesday.
The Hearts were led by medalist Jack Swingler with a 36, Cannon Bockhorn 37, Brody Boehm 38 and Jude Traub and Leo Wyckoff with a 39 each. Allyn Koester had a 53. Exhibition players were Owen Nuxoll 52 and Eli Wendling 58.
EHS returns to action today in a match against Teutopolis, Sullivan and Robinson at 4 p.m.
At Clay County
North Clay had three players competing at the Clay County Country Club.
In the girls match, Kennedy Jones and Mackenzie Winterrowd were co-medalists with a 47 each.
For the boys, Jacob Arnold tallied a 50.
At Charleston
Teutopolis junior varsity defeated Charleston at the Charleston Country Club Tuesday.
The Wooden Shoes shot a 192 while Charleston had a 195.
Medalist was T-town’s Drew Kirby with a 40. Also scoring were Camden Mette 49, Bo Kreke 50 and Xavier Schumacher 53. Others competing were Gavin Deters 54, Sam Probst 4, Lane Bloemer 58, Dawson Beckman 59, Koen Dasenbrock 61 and Hudson Einhorn 62.
