The 32nd Annual Carl P. Koerner Jr. Memorial Sports Spectacular will be held Thursday, September 11 beginning at noon with a shot gun start at the Effingham Country Club.

The Sports Spectacular is marked for the promotion of both Effingham and St. Anthony high school athletics.

There will be a live auction, lunch and dinner. Entry for a five person team is $1,000 while hole sponsor is $150, individual golfer $200, non-golfer dinner $50 and skins (per team) $25.

Prizes include: First Place Gross, $600, First Place Net $500, Hole In One $10,000, Million Dollar Shot $1,000,000, 8th Hole Shootout gift certificates, 2nd Hole Challenge, 12th Hole The Bourbon Challenge and Wacky Drive  contests. There’s also No. 6 longest drive for men and women, No. 2 closest to pin, No. 8 closest to pin, No. 12 closest to pin, No. 16 closest to pin and No. 17 longest putt.

The five person scramble is for men or women. Noon is the Shotgun Start. There will be ice cold beverages served all day and a box lunch with deli meats, potato chips, salad, tea, lemonade and dessert and dinner with ribeye steaks, baked potato, salad and trimmings.
