ROBINSON — Effingham St. Anthony was victorious in girls high school and junior varsity boys golf action over Oblong Thursday at the Oak Glen Golf Course
In girls action, the Bulldogs won 171-215. Tesa Ludwig took the medalist spot with a 41. Also scoring were Gianna Frisbie 42, Brooklyn Phillips 44 and Adria Moberly 44.
Others competing for St. Anthony were Lucy Bierman and Lauren Myers who finished ninth with a 58 each. Freshmen playing at No. 7 and No. 8 were Tenley Sams 52 and Lisa Kuhns 54.
The junior varsity boys won 152-172. Jameson McAllaster was medalist with a 35 for the Bulldogs. Also scoring were Andrew Meyer 38, Trenton Sandschafer 39 and Liam McAllaster 40. Non-counters were Cole Adams 42 and Daniel Ramos 43.
Oblong was led by Carson Musgrave 39, Brock Noblitt 44, Zack Riggs 44 and Riley Blank 45. Other scores included Cole Littlejohn 48 and Elijah Newman 57.
At Casey
Teutopolis traveled to Casey-Westfield and won a golf quadrangular Thursday.
The Wooden Shoes tallied a 155 followed by Casey-Westfield 162, Newton 171 and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 184.
T-town’s Coen Pennington was match medalist with a 34. Also scoring were Owen Kremer 39 and Isaac Weber 40. Kade Pennington and Matthew Habing had a 42 each and Landyn Thoele scored a 45.
Individuals were Eli Weber 41, Lane Ohnesorge 44 and Gavin Althoff 50.
The Wooden Shoes improve to 6-0 in nine hole matches. They will be back in action Tuesday at Robinson in varsity play. The junior varsity will play host to Effingham and St. Anthony at Cardinal Golf Course Tuesday.
At Effingham
Teutopolis was a winner over Mount Zion in a girls match at Cardinal Golf Course Thursday.
The Wooden Shoes tallied a 183 while Mount Zion had a 215.
T-town’s Brileigh Brummer was medalist with a 41. Also scoring were Molly Habing 46, Brooke Thoele 46 and Adreienne Koester 50.
Others competing were Halle Bushue 51, Josie Willenborg 54, Brooke Tipton 54 and Kegyn Runde 63.
Mount Zion scores were Julia Daniels 51, Ana Kanemaru 51, Tatum Gray 56, Macy Hiltmeier 57 and Hailey Hahn 58.
