 Wooden Shoes Edge Hearts In Girls Golf Competition

Teutopolis edged Effingham in girls high school golf competition Tuesday by a 179-181 count.

The Wooden Shoes were led by Brileigh Bloemer with a 41. She was co-medalist with Effingham’s Ella Tuman who also had a 41.

Other scorers for the Shoes were Brooke Thoele 44, Molly Habing 47 and Halle Bushue 47.

Non-counting scores were Olivia Wermert 47, Josie Willenborg 53, Adrienne Koester 53, Sophia Martin 60 and Mallory Bloemer 62.

Natalie Armstrong and Kylie Pryor had a 46 each for the Hearts and Alison Kroenlein a 48.

Others competing were McKenna Mayhood 50, Addi Ruiz 54, Kennedy Tolliver 57, Emily Loew 60 and Hannah Buckman 61.
