 Edwardsville Edges T-town In Girls Golf, Newton’s Haley Ochs Scores Hole-In-One, North Clay’s Kennedy Jones Earns Medalist Honors

FILLMORE — Edwardsville edged Teutopolis in girls golf competition at Indian Springs Golf Course Thursday, 356-366 with the match coming down to the last score.

Medalist for the match was Edwardsville’s Rachel Johnson who shot a 71.

Newton’s Haley Ochs finished with a score of 88 and carded an impressive hole-in-one on the par 4 ninth hole, landing her a rare Albetross. Peyton Lindley shot a 90 for the Eagles.

“Both girls shot extremely well,” said Newton Golf Coach Jeremy French. “Haley made an incredible hole-in-one on a par 3/4 on hole number nine that was playing as a par 4.”

Brileigh Bloemer followed for Teutopolis with a 90.

 

At Robinson

Kennedy Jones earned medalist honors at Oak Glen Golf Course for North Clay. Jones was medalist with a 41.

Mackenzie Winterrowd, also competing for North Clay, tied for second place with a 55.
