CLINTON — Altamont High School’s boys and girls competed in the Clinton Light It Up Cross Country Invitational Saturday.
In the boys race, Mahomet-Seymour won the team championship with 51 points followed by Clinton 106, Olney, Richland County 195, Monticello 208, Moline 215, Gillespie 225, Downs Tri-Valley 232, Normal University 238, Bloomington Central Catholic 266, Auburn 268, Shelbyville 290, Rochester 344, Sullivan 353, Bloomington Cornerstone Christian Academy 363, Fairbury Prairie Central 374, Deer Creek-Mackinaw 377, Mattoon 418, Urbana University 488, Trenton 514, Heyworth 515, Stanford Olympia 595, Paxton-Buckley-Loda 636, Springfield Lutheran 664, Decatur St. Teresa 692, Stillman Valley 697, Quincy Notre Dame 719, Rantoul 741, Altamont 755, Villa Grove 763 and Havana 845.
Chaz Oberkfell of Gillespie won with a time of 14:41.2.
Competing for Altamont were Kelton Dunaway 76th in 17:41.67; Jacob Johnson 181st in 21:19.42, John Manley 182nd in 21:19.46, Wyatt Wolff 183rd in 21:20.30 and Lane Spring 188th in 21:40.28.
In the girls meet, Klaire Eighner of Maroa-Forsyth won with a time of 17:07.74.
Competing for Altamont were Krista Hall who finished 139th in 23:39.48 and Katie Tedrick who finished 142nd in 23:54.66.
Five of the seven Altamont High School athletes had course or lifetime person records.
