Effingham Sacred Heart won in its own Class 8-1A Boys Basketball Regional Tuesday evening.
The Shamrocks easily handled Newton St. Thomas, 51-27.
Gabe Traub scored 18 points while Bryce Hayes added 15 and Reuben Jansen 10 for the Shamrocks. Chris Kenter and Jackson LaSarge had four each.
In the second contest, Sigel St. Michael downed Ramsey, 37-26.
Effingham Sacred Heart and Sigel St. Michael will now meet for the championship tonight at 6.
At Strasburg
Stewardson-Strasburg defeated Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, 43-15 in Tuesday evening action at the Class 8-2A Stew-Stras Regional Tuesday.
Stew-Stras held an 18-10 halftime lead then held CHBC to one point while scoring 10 in the third quarter and went on for the 43-15 victory.
Richter led Stew-Stras with 16 points while Pruemer added eight.
Effingham St. Anthony edged St. Elmo/Brownstown, 35-31 in the second contest.
Stewardson-Strasburg and Effingham St. Anthony will meet tonight for the championship of the regional.
Game time is 6 p.m.

Two games are on the schedule tonight for the Class 8-2A Casey-Westfield Regional.
Casey-Westfield will meet Neoga at 6 p.m. followed by Villa Grove against Hutsonville at 7.
The winners advance to the championship game Thursday at 6 p.m.
At Effingham
Stephen Decatur and Mount Zion will meet tonight for the championship of the Class 8-4A Effingham Regional.
Game time has been scheduled for 6 p.m.
At Robinson Nuttall
The Class 8-3A Robinson Nuttall Regional games have been moved to Thursday.
Teutopolis will meet Marshall at 6 p.m. followed by Robinson Nuttall against Lawrenceville Parkview at 7:15.
