Sigel St. Michael saw its season come to a close in its own Class 7-1A Boys Basketball Regional Monday evening.
The Sharpshooters fell to Pana Sacred Heart, 45-12.
In the second game of the evening, Altamont Lutheran defeated Newton St. Thomas 35-28.
Altamont Lutheran advances to the championship game to meet Pana Sacred Heart at 6 p.m. Thursday for the championship. The winner advances to the Pana Sacred Heart Sectional to take on the winner of the Jerseyville St. Francis HG Regional Monday at 6 p.m.
Class 7-2A North Clay Regional
Tonight’s games feature Effingham St. Anthony against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and Stewardson-Strasburg facing St. Elmo/Brownstown at 6:15.
The winners advance to the championship game Wednesday at 5;30 p.m.
Class 7-2A Casey-Westfield Regional
Three games were contested in the Casey-Westfield Regional Saturday.
Dieterich won over Hutsonville, 44-13 while Oblong defeated Neoga, 33-14.
Casey-Westfield was a 49-20 winner over Villa Grove and Paris Crestwood downed Arcola, 40-23.
Today’s games include Dieterich facing Oblong at 6 p.m. followed by Casey-Westfield against Paris Crestwood at 7.
The winners advance to the championship game Thursday at 6 p.m.
Class 7-3A Marshall Regional
Teutopolis is headed to the championship game of the Marshall Regional.
The Wooden Sheos trounced Paris Mayo, 54-14, zipping out to a 21-2 opening quarter lead.
Bryson Meyer led the way with 27 points while Dylan Deters chipped in with seven.
Marshall was a 66-29 winner over Robinson Nuttall in the second contest.
Teutopolis, seeded No. 1, will now face No. 2 seeded Marshall at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for the regional championship.

Class 7-4A Taylorville Regional
Mount Zion won the regional championship with a 47-19 victory over Mattoon.
At Greenville
Effingham St. Anthony opened its stay at the 77th Annual James Burke Memorial Boys Basketball Tournament with a victory Monday evening.
The Bullpups beat Hillsboro, 55-31.
St. Anthony ran out to a 20-10 opening quarter lead as Phillips scored 13 points. The Bullpups held a 33-15 halftime lead.
Phillips finished with 26 points on 11 field goals that included one three-pointer. G. Bloemer added 13.
In other games, Salem had a first round bye, Greenville won over Roxana 43-27 and Aviston downed Staunton 38-13.
Tonight’s game will feature Staunton against Hillsboro in loser bracket action.
St. Anthony will face Aviston at 7 p.m. Thursday while Salem will take on Greenville at 6 p.m. in winner bracket play. The winners will advance to the championship game Friday at 7 p.m. while the losers will play for third place at 6.

At Effingham
Effingham hosted an Eighth-Grade Round Robin Monday evening.
The Mustangs fell in the opening game to Triad, 41-23. The two teams were tied at 9-9 after the first quarter. Triad moved ahead 23-16 at halftime then held the Mustangs to zero points in the third quarter to move ahead 27-16.
Efifngham was led by Justus Bridges with eight points.
In the second game, Triad defeated Effingham Sacred Heart, 55-36.
Triad held a 30-17 halftime lead.
Jackson LaSarge was the lone Shamrocks player in double figures with 10, Ruben Jansen added nine and Gabe Traub eight.
In the third game, Effingham edged Effingham Sacred Heart 43-39.
The Mustangs took a 13-6 opening quarter lead but Sacred Heart came back with a 15-5 second period to lead 21-18 at halftime. Effingham then had an 11-8 third period and outscored the Shamrocks 14-10 in the final quarter.
Justus Bridges led the Mustangs with 13 points while Deke Thompson and Calvin Beck had eight each.
Sacred Heart was led by Gabe Traub with 17 and Bryce Hayes with eight.
