 Neoga Girls Finish Sixth At Monticello Tournament

MONTICELLO — Neoga High School fell to Warrensburg-Latham, 62-52 to finish sixth at the Monticello Holiday Girls Basketball Tournament Monday evening.

Neoga ripped out to a 22-9 opening quarter lead. But Warrensburg-Latham came back with an 18-8 second quarter to pull within 30-27 at halftime.

Warrensburg-Latham continued on with a 12-8 third period and finished strong for the 10-point victory.

Malory Henderson led Neoga with 19 points on six field goals and five free throws. She connected on two three-pointers. Also in double figures was Molly Moran with 12 points.

In the championship game, Clinton was a 65-49 winner over Tri-Valley.

The third place game went to GCMS over Monticello, 55-47. Colfax Ridgeview won the seventh place game over Tuscola, 51-39.
