Effingham edged Robinson 56-53 in freshman/sophomore boys basketball action Wednesday evening.
Robinson edged out to a 10-9 opening quarter lead but the Hearts came back to lead 19-18 at halftime. Loew and Richmond knocked in a three-pointer each.
In the third quarter, Effingham went on a 22-15 run to lead 41-33 going into the final quarter.
Three players finished in double digits for the Hearts. Richmond led with 14 points, hitting four three-pointers in the contest. Loew added 12 and C. Jones 10.
