Dieterich advanced from the 8-2A North Clay with a 31-29 victory over St. Anthony.
With the win Dieterich moves on to the State quarterfinal game at Havana Junior High School Saturday morning at 10am against Spring Valley Kennedy. The winner of that game will play in the semifinals later that day at 5:00pm.
At the Jerseyville 8-1A Sectional Sigel St. Michael lost to Carrollton St. John 32-22 bringing St. Michaels’ season to a close.
