Only one area team was competing for the seventh-grade girls basketball regional title Tuesday evening.
But, South Central saw its season come to a close with a 26-23 loss to Edwards County, Albion in the Class 7-2A North Clay Regional.
Edwards County advances to the Effingham St. Anthony Sectional Wednesday, December 3.

Class 7-4A Mount Zion Regional
Mount Zion won its own regional title by defeating Taylorville, 34-22.
Mount Zion now heads to the Rochester Sectional December 3 to play at 6 p.m.
