Effingham captured a 49-33 victory over Altamont in freshman/sophomore boys basketball action Monday evening.
Effingham ran out to a 21-7 opening quarter lead and never looked back.
Altamont had an 11-10 third period and outscored the Hearts 9-7 in the final quarter but it was too little.
Effingham was led by Rohr with 14 points.
Altamont was led by K. Davis with 10 points.
