TEUTOPOLIS — Teutopolis Junior High School produced two victories over Altamont Lutheran in boys basketball competition Thursday evening.

The Wooden Shoes won the seventh-grade contest, 55-31. T-town held a 43-12 halftime lead.

Bryson Meyer tallied 15 points for the winners while Dylan Deters added 10.

Altamont Lutheran was led by Sefton with 11 and Wasson with nine.

In the eighth-grade game, T-town won 42-20. Again, the Shoes rushed out to a 28-6 first half lead.

Mason Giles led the way with nine points.

Altamont Lutheran was led by Kroenig with nine.

At Louisville

Stewardson-Strasburg tallied two wins over North Clay Thursday evening.

Stew-Stras won the seventh-grade contest, 35-21. Stew-Stras held a 23-10 halftime lead.

Ashmore scored 19 for the winners who improved to 1-0 in the National Trail Conference and 1-1 overall.

North Clay was led by Cade with nine.

In eighth-grade action, Stew-Stras won 48-10 and is now 1-0 in the conference, 2-0 overall.

Richter led with 16 points while Friese added nine for the winners.

North Clay was led by Ruholl with five.

At Louisville

At Martinsville

Effingham Sacred Heart was a winner in eighth-grade play while Martinsville claimed the eighth-grade contest.

Martinsville was a 22-8 winner in seventh-grade action. Martinsville led 17-0 at halftime.

Teddy Jansen led Sacred Heart with four points.

In eighth-grade competition, the Shamrocks won 50-14. Sacred Heart ripped out to a 26-7 halftime lead.

Gabe Traub scored nine and Bryce Hayes eight for the winners. Logan Schoenhoff and Chris Kenter added seven each in even scoring.

The Shamrocks are back in action Tuesday hosting Windsor.

At Martinsville

At Flora

Jasper County was a winner in eighth-grade action but Flora won the seventh-grade contest Thursday evening.

Flora moved into a slight 22-21 lead over Jasper County and then had a 33-15 second half run.

Jasper County was led by Cash Collins and Duncan Miller with 10 points each. Kamden Klier was the top rebounder, Tristian Lingafelter the top defender and Collins the top passer.

In eighth-grade play, Jasper County was a 42-32 winner. Jasper County held an 18-16 first half lead then had a 12-5 third quarter run.

Jacob Guzman led the way with 14 points while Grant Frichtl added 12. Trace Cornwell was the top rebounder, Guzman the top defender and Frichtl the top passer.

Jasper County is now 3-0 on the season and back in action Saturday at Marshall.

Dieterich handed Oblong two losses in Thursday evening play.

Dieterich won the seventh-grade contest, 48-27, ripping out to a 24-10 opening quarter lead.

Three players hit double figures as Chase Bohnhoff finished with 16 points while Brock Koester added 12 and Colten Keck 12.

In eighth-grade play, Dieterich was a 36-19 winner.

Dieterich led 15-8 at halftime and had a 21-11 second half.

Brody Niemerg scored 20 points for the winners.

Newton St. Thomas was a winner in seventh-grade play over Altamont Thursday, 35-6.

St. Thomas led 27-4 at halftime.

The winners were led by Bierman with nine.

Altamont was led by Pierce and Sphar with two each.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City was a winner in eighth-grade play while Sullivan claimed the seventh-grade contest Thursday.

Sullivan won 42-17. Sullivan ran out to a 21-2 opening half lead.

CHBC was led by Colt Ondes, Ben Noble and Elliot Thull with four each.

In eighth-grade play, CHBC edged Sullivan 34-32.

Sullivan held a 17-1 halftime lead. CHBC came back with a 15-8 third quarter and pulled out the win.

Brody Cox scored seven while Kole Schaefer and Easton Kramer added six each.
