Effingham St. Anthony captured junior high boys basketball victories over Pana Sacred Heart Saturday.
In seventh-grade play, St. Anthony edged out to a 12-8 opening quarter lead and led 19-14 at halftime. Pana Sacred Heart came back with a slight 11-10 third quarter but the Bullpups went on an 18-4 final quarter run.
James Gilmore and Nash Hoene tallied 11 points each for St. Anthony while Ryan Wohltman added 10.
In eighth-grade action, St. Anthony tallied a 62-37 win.
The Bullpups held a 28-24 halftime lead then had a 34-13 second half.
P. Phillips led the Bullpups with 20 points while G. Bloemer added 13 and R. Schumacher 12.
