Dieterlch, Neoga, Sigel St. Michael and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City advanced in the National Trail Conference Eighth-Grade Girls Basketball Tournament Wednesday evening.
Dieterich was a 36-17 winner over Brownstown/St. Elmo in the opening game of the night.
Dieterich held a 14-11 halftime lead and went on for a 22-6 second half run.
Emery Bill led the way in scoring with 12 while Mya Ohnesorge added 11.
BSE was led by Kinsley Schwarm with six.
Neoga was a 41-25 winner over North Clay in the next contest.
North Clay held an 8-7 opening quarter lead but Neoga busted loose with an 18-3 second period and never looked back.
Bliss Bear led the way with 17 points while Nora Hartke added eight and Kinsey Bell seven.
North Clay was led by Janelle Jordan with 10.
Sigel St. Michael downed Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 38-13.
The Sharpshooters moved into a 20-8 halftime lead.
Brianna Niebrugge led in scoring with 14 points while Josie Niemerg chipped in with eight.
Windsor/Stew-Stras was led by Izzy Manhart with six points.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City tallied a 36-27 win over South Central.
CHBC edged into a 19-17 halftime lead then had an 11-5 third period run.
Valentian Doty tallied 11 points while Elaina Thompson added 10 for the winners.
South Central was led by Skylar Webster with 13.
In tonight’s games, Brownstown/St. Elmo meets North Clay at 6 p.m. in consolation round play. Dieterich takes on Neoga at 7:15 with the winner moving on to the championship game.
