South Central claimed the championship of the National Trail Conference Seventh-Grade Girls Basketball Tournament Saturday.
In Friday action, Neoga beat Altamont, 33-11 while Cumberland won over Sigel St. Michael, 18-8.
Neoga ran out to a 10-0 opening quarter lead and never looked back.
Nora Hartke scored 23 for the winners on 11 of 13 from the field and one of two at the line.
Altamont was led by Blakely McClellan with five points.
In the other Friday contest, Cumberland defeated Sigel St. Michael, 18-8.
In Saturday’s games, South Central came out an 18-15 winner over Cumberland in the championship game.
The third place contest went to Sigel St. Michael over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, 25-12.
The consolation championship was won by Neoga over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, 25-13.
Neoga moved into a 4-0 opening quarter lead and led 11-4 at halftime.
The winners were led by Hartke with seven points and Finney with six.
Windsor/Stew-Stras was led by Althoff and Barnard with four each.
