OLNEY — Effingham Junior High School trailed Richland County, Olney 2-0 after the first inning. But the Mustangs came back with five runs in the second and ended this contest in the sixth inning 18-2 Wednesday.
The Mustangs finished with 11 hits led by Kael Koeberlein with three singles and five RBI and Brody Nelson with three singles and three RBI. Hunter Yager and Deek Thompson added a single and two RBI each while Calvin Beck and Roman Martin chipped in with a single and an RBI each. Adam LeDuc added an RBI.
Levi Eckert went two innings for the pitching win. He gave up two runs on four hits, one walk and struck out one. Koeberlein came in to go 2.2 innings with five strikeouts and Beck finished out the 1.1 innings giving up one hit, one walk and striking out two.

Robinson Nuttall came calling at Cumberland and picked up a 9-4 victory Wednesday.
Robinson Nuttall moved into a 1-0 opening inning lead and tallied three more in the second and five in the fourth.
Cumberland rallied with three runs in the sixth and a run in the bottom of the seventh but fell short.
Cumberland outhit Robinson Nuttall by a 9-8 count. H. Cisney and T. Holsapple had two singles each. Cisney added an RBI. B. Clapp, G. Swim and C. Goss had a single and an RBI each.
