Teutopolis captured a 6-4 victory over Effingham in junior high baseball action Monday in eight innings.
The bottom of the lineup helped the Shoes. Brock Witges and Kason Meyer combined for four of the team’s seven hits. They scored two runs and drove in three.
Meyer collected a single, double, triple and drove in three runs while Witges had a single. Myles Hoene added a single and double.
Maddux Pals came on in the fourth inning on the mound and went 2.1 innings, giving up no runs on two hits, three walks and striking out one for the victory.
Effingham had six hits but committed three errors. Peyton O’Dell had a double and two RBI while Kael Koeberlein added a double. Levi Eckert had two singles and an RBI while Calvin Beck had two singles.
The Mustangs held a 2-0 first inning lead. T-town came back with a run in the fourth and tied in the seventh to send the game into the extra innings. T-town then scored two runs on an error and Meyer tripled to centerfield, scoring two runs.
Effingham mounted a comeback in the bottom of the frame, scoring two runs, only to fall short.

Effingham Sacred Heart tallied a 12-2 victory over Sigel St. Michael in Monday action.
The Shamrocks edged out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning then had a four-run third, two in the fourth and ended the game via the 10-run rule with five in the fifth.
Chris Kenter had a single, double and an RBI for the Shamrocks. Jackson LaSarge had two singles and an RBI while Logan Schoenhoff had two singles. Lucas McDevitt had a double and two RBI and Reuben Jansen a single and two RBI.
Gabe Traub picked up the pitching victory, He went three scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and a walk.

Dieterich took control early and handed Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City a 12-2 loss in five innings via the 10-run rule Monday.
The Roadrunners went on a hitting spree, finishing with 16 in the contest. Meanwhile, three Dieterich pitchers held the Bobcats to only one hit.
Chase Bohnhoff started on the mound going two innings, not giving up a hit, while walking one and striking out three. Turner Kessler came on to toss one hitting. He did not allow a hit or run, walked one and struck out two. Reed Funneman went the final two innings, giving up two runs on one hit, one walk and striking out one. Bohnhoff earned the win.
Bohnhoff had three singles and drove in a run while Kessler had a double and two RBI. Colten Keck, Maddox Nichols, Nolan Nussmeyer, Nolan Gipson and Funneman had two singles each. Nichols and Keck drove in two runs each. Callen Stortzum had a single and two RBI while Landon McQueen added a single and an RBI.
Tyce Kircher had the lone hit for the Bobcats with a double.

Arthur Christian scored three runs in the sixth inning and finished with a 5-2 victory over Stewardson-Strasburg Monday.
Stew-Stras held a 2-0 lead in the second inning. Arthur Christian pulled within 2-1 in the fourth then had the three-run sixth and pushed across a final run in the seventh.
Stew-Stras had five hits led by Tate Thompson with a single and an RBI and Noah Friese with an RBI.
The Comets are now 16-2 on the season.
