Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg blanked Effingham Sacred Heart, 8-0 in junior high baseball action Friday.
Windsor/Stew-Stras took a 2-0 opening inning lead then tacked on single runs in the second and fifth and finished with four in the sixth.
Jacob Duncan and Max McCormick had strong hitting performances. Duncan had two singles, a double and three RBI while McCormick had three singles and an RBI.
Johnny Richter was dominant on the mound, striking out 11 batters in five innings and allowing only one hit. Tate Thompson came on in relief and threw two innings, allowing only two hits.
Sacred Heart was led by Lucas McDevitt, Bryce Hayes, Reuben Jansen and Jack Grunloh with a single each.

Effingham St. Anthony took the early lead and went on for a 10-2 victory over Dieterich Friday.
The Bullpups tallied two runs in the second, third and fifth innings and four in the sixth.
Nine hits and six Dieterich errors aided the Bullpups. Luke Roewe had a triple and two RBI while Reed Schumacher had a single, double and an RBI. Jaxon Having added a double and an RBI.
Paxton Coulter went 5.2 innings, giving up one run on four hits, three walks and striking out five in the win on the mound.
Dieterich was led by Callen Stortzum and Maddox Nichols with a single and an RBI each.

At Mulberry Grove
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City moved into a 5-3 lead in the first inning against Mulberry Grove and ended this contest 15-7 in five innings Friday.
CHBC had four hits led by Brody Cox with a double and Curtis Bethel, Remington Strange and Tryston Brown with a single and an RBI each. Luke Roadarmel and Ben Noble had two RBI each.
Elliot Thull went the four innings on the hill. He gave up seven runs on six hits, three walks and struck out eight.
At Mulberry Grove

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City won the Altamont Lutheran Tournament Saturday.
In the opening contest, CHBC trailed by five runs but rallied to top Altamont Lutheran, 10-9 in extra innings.
Brody Cox came on in relief and earned the win, giving up four hits and one run over six innings, striking out eight and walking four. Tyce Kircher started but struggled early. He came back to earn the save after relieving Cox in the last inning with the bases loaded and getting the final out.
Curtis Bethel garnered three singles in four at-bats and drove in two runs. Cox finished with a single, double and two RBI. Ben Noble added two RBI and Kircher, Luke Roadarmel and Conor Jones had a single and an RBI each.
In the second game, the Bobcats trounced Mattoon St. Johns by a 16-1 count in four innings.
Roadarmel started and earned the win, allowing three hits, one run over four innings, striking out five and walking one.
Cox had two doubles and five RBI while Bethal had a single, double and five RBI.
“Truly everyone contributed,” said CHBC Coach John Brown. “What an outstanding day for our program. It’s been a while since we brought home this tournament’s championship trophy and doing it by beating two quality teams, while playing our fifth game in five days, says everything about this team’s resilience and fortitude. We couldn’t be prouder of our young men.”

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis claimed a 3-2 win in a showdown against St. Joseph Saturday.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Teutopolis pitchers struck out five while the Panthers also sat down five.
Charlie Koester opened the scoring in the first inning, with a single, scoring a run. The Shoes then added a run in the third on a wild pitch.
The Panthers scored a run in the fourth and tied in the top of the sixth.
But the Shoes came back as Connoer Bloemer singled, to score what would prove to be the winning run in the bottom of the frame.
Connor Althoff earned the win. He did not give up a run or hit and walked one in his lone inning.
Pleasant Plains jumped on the Shoes early and finished with a 5-2 victory.
Pleasant Plains scored three in the first and two in the second.
The Shoes came back with a run in the fourth and one in the sixth but couldn’t make up that opening run by Pleasant Plains.
Maddux Pals led in hitting for the Shoes with a double and triple. Davin Ruholl added a single and two RBI.
T-town will welcome St. Anthony Tuesday.

The winners took a 7-0 opening inning lead then added on seven in the second and finished with one in the third.
Adam Pruemer was the winning pitcher. He went two innings allowing no runs on no hits, one walk and striking out five. Camden Boyer came on to finish the third inning, giving up one hit and one walk.
Jacob Howe had a triple and two RBI while Johnny Richter had a triple and one RBI. Max Kull finished with two singles, a double and four RBI. Jacob Duncan had a single, double and two RBI and Tate Thompson had a single and two RBI. Noah Friese had two singles and an RBI and Koen Webb a single and an RBI.
