Former Effingham High School baseball player Chad Green helped the Toronto Blue Jays to a 5-4 victory over his former team, the New York Yankees Monday.
Green came on in the ninth to face Anthony Volpe with the tying and winning runs on base. He got Volpe to line out to end the game in favor of the Blue Jays, 5-4.
Green has appeared in 36 games this season and has a 4.15 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP.
