North Clay’s Jack Compton was named to the Class 1A All-State Baseball Team. Compton will be a senior next season for the Cardinals.
In Class 2A, Teutopolis High School’s Michael (Mick) Niebrugge, a senior, was named to the All-State Team.
Others named to the 1A All-State Team were Braden Arrenholtz (Delavan), Noah Brandt (Somonauk), Carson Brown (Winchester/West Central), Drake Buffington (Goreville), Richard Carlson (South Beloit), Chase Dykstra (Fulton), Brayden Elliott (Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley), Aiden Hatalla (North Mac), Dalton Hutton (Winchester-West Central), Carver Kamentz (East Dubuque), Kannon Kamp (Father McGivney), Maddox Klawitter (Heyworth), Henry Koehler (Roanoke-Benson), Ian Leffler (Monmouth United), Luke Madigan (Lena-Winslow), Brandon Menser (Waltonville), Sam Mitre (Ottawa Marquette), Alec Novotney (Ottawa Marquette), Chance Payne (Mount Pulaski), Jameson Remole (South Fork), Tanner Rogers (Monmouth United), Alan Spencer (St. Bede), Joey Starks (Dwight), Justin Terhaar (Father McGivney) and Tanner Thomas (Arcola).
Honorable Mention went to Eli Hankins (Galatia), Maddux Heitzler (Annawan-Wethersfield), Nolan Hooper (Yorkville Christian), Macon Kessler (Rushville-Industry), Brock Lehman (Ashton-Franklin Center), Pedro Rangel (South Fork), Joey Sais (Galatia), Brady Turner (Routt), Chance Stewart (Monmouth United), Jonathan Stunkel (Putnam County), Aiden Wild (Lena-Winslow) and Carson Wort (Pawnee).
Three area players earned All-State Honorable Mention for Class 2A.
Those included Effingham St. Anthony’s Brock Fearday and Brady Hatton, both were seniors, and Teutopolis High School’s Davin Worman, a junior.
Other Honorable Mention were Braden Behringer (Sandwich), Mason Crump (Roxanna), Kyle Farrell (Wilmington), Bryson Houchens (St. Joseph-Ogden), Ethan Keiser (University), Benny Lehman (Central-Carlyle), Luke Saxe (Pittsfield), Kaeden Schatsiek (Elmwood-Brimfield), Cooper Schallenberg (Pleasant Plains), Cullen Schwigen (Rockridge), Charlie Severino (Pleasant Plains), Aaron Sheffer (Anna-Jonesboro) and Colson Wegat (Kewanee).
