Johnnie L. Knierim, 56, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025 at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Little Prairie Cemetery in Jackson Township, Effingham, IL. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Little Prairie Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.
Johnnie was born on October 10, 1968, in Effingham, IL, the son of Gerald E. and Laura B. (Wheeler) Knierim. Johnnie was a caretaker for his dad as well as the groundskeeper for Little Prairie Cemetery. He enjoyed riding his four-wheeler and watching wrestling on TV.
Johnnie is survived by his father, Gerald E. Knierim; brother, Kevin R. (Tanya) Knierim; nieces and nephews, Kaleb, Kaitlyn, Lucian, and Karissa; and great-nephews, Jaxon and Gentry.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura.
