Darryl K. Allen, 66, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at his home.
A private family burial will take place in Hazard, KY at a later date. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.
Darryl was born on October 9, 1958 in Dayton, OH, the son of Hershel and Carrie (Howard) Allen. Darryl graduated from Effingham High School and attended Parkland College in Champaign, IL. He worked for World Color Press and Roadmaster for many years. He loved boating on Lake Sara, motorcycling on his Harley, hunting, and attending rock concerts.
Darryl is survived by his brother, Bob Allen of Effingham; and his three nieces, Kristen Allen of Effingham, Rachael (Dan) Bullard of Pasadena, MD, and Courtney (Blake) Quinn of Paducah, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrie (Howard) Allen and Hershel Allen.
