Rosemary Taylor, 95, of Altamont, passed away peacefully at 11:59 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at her home.
According to Rosemary’s wishes, there will be no services. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Rosemary E. Taylor was born on Friday, September 26, 1930 in Altamont to Harry and Goldie (Bryant) McVicker. She married Frank Taylor, Jr. in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1969. She was retired from Altamont School District as a bus driver.
She is survived by her son, Trevor Taylor, Altamont; nephews, David (Charlene) Calhoun, Altamont and Steve (Jeannie) Calhoun, St. Elmo; nieces, Holly (John) Satterlee, Taylorville, Dorothy Hankins, Homosassa, FL and Betty Wright, St. Elmo; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Taylor; brother, Howard McVicker; sisters, Audrey Stonum, Beulah Rickett, and Millie Calhoun; and nephews, Robert Rickett and John Calhoun.
