Daniel Wilfred Rauch (75) of Beecher City

Daniel Wilfred Rauch, age 75, of Beecher City passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2026.

Born on January 11, 1951, to Mary Ellen Geier Rauch and Wilfred Rauch, Daniel was known for his gentle spirit and humble nature, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dan was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Jaymie Hopper Rauch, on May 15, 1980. Together, they shared over four decades of devotion, partnership, and cherished memories. Jaymie preceded him in death on April 1, 2022. Family was at the center of Dan’s life, and he found great joy in time spent with loved ones. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found happiness in simple pleasures such as gardening, camping, and arrowhead hunting, often alongside his brother, Paul. Dan dedicated many years of his career working alongside his brothers at Digicon. He later retired from Pinnacle Foods, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and integrity. In his earlier years, Dan traveled widely, embracing new experiences and perspectives. He also gave back through his service in the VISTA program, supporting underserved communities, a reflection of his compassionate heart.

He is survived by his godchildren, Danielle Finn, Jordan Rauch, and Andrew Rauch; his foster children, Melissa, Amanda, and Sheri; his brothers, Thomas (Carlene) Rauch of Teutopolis, George (Sherri) Rauch of Chatham, Jeffrey (Patti) Rauch of Montrose, and Andrew (Cheryl) Rauch of Effingham; his sisters, Rebecca (Robert) Schumacher of Hobe Sound, Florida, Maureen (John) Garth of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Karen (Kate Rauch) Lynn of Kentucky, Amy (Patrick) Schumacher of Effingham, Margaret (Patrick) Pals of Teutopolis, and Sara (Randy) Rauch of Montrose; his sister-in-law, Cinde; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He also leaves behind his special friend, Jody Priess.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Mary Ellen Rauch; his wife, Jaymie Hopper Rauch; and his brother, Paul Rauch.

Dan will be remembered for his kindness, humility, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he created.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

He is deeply missed and forever loved.
