Delores Ann “Dee” Miller, 89 of Effingham, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
No public services are being held at this time. Memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society, or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham.
Dee was born on December 15, 1936, the daughter of Martin and Lena (Wilson) Hord. She married Floyd L. Miller on January 8, 1954 and served many years as the Clay County Circuit Clerk.
Dee is survived by her husband, Floyd of Effingham; son, Gregory Miller (Donna) and daughter, Vickie Tolliver, both of Louisville; granddaughters, Rachel (Jeremiah) Henry of Louisville, Katelann (Alex) Wafford of Effingham, and Sasha (Justin) Curry of Shelbyville; grandson, Lucas Miller of Louisville; great-grandchildren, Kya Henry (Joel), Rowan Henry, Kayden Willenborg, Sylvia Wafford, Aurora Dee Miller, Kaylie (Michael) Carlen, Andrea Curry and Payton Curry; great-great-grandchild, Emery Carlin and brother-in-law, Charlie Miller of Arizona.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law, John and Ella Miller; brothers, Leland (Shirley) and Kenneth (Patsy) Hord; grandson, Derek Allen Miller, and son-in-law, Doug Tolliver.
