Marjorie O. Phipps, 87, of Greenup, IL passed away at 6:03 pm on Wednesday February 25, 2026, at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday March 4, 2026, at the Jewett Community Church. There will be a 1-hour visitation prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am, also at the church. The Burial will be in the Jewett Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
Marjorie was born on May 15, 1938, in Toledo, IL to Charles and Dorothy (Bowman) Elliott. Marjorie married Ed Phipps on March 16, 1957. He preceded her in death in 2024.
Survivors include daughter-in-law Ginger Phipps; grandchildren Kristan Williams, Matthew (Jennifer) Phipps, and Adam (Emily) Phipps; great grandchildren Macey (Jacob) Daugherty, Katelyn Phipps, Kolby Phipps, Eva Phipps, Alan Phipps and Abigail Phipps.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Larry Alan Phipps, great granddaughter McKenzie Lyn Phipps, sisters Norma Jean, Catherine Price, and Peg Veach.
Marjorie worked at the Ettelbrick shoe factory in Greenup, IL.
