Christine (Christy) Pryor-Gallo, 62, was reunited with Jesus at the gates of Heaven on Sunday, February 22, 2026. She passed peacefully, with her favorite hymns playing, surrounded by her loved ones.
Christy was born on November 6, 1963, to parents Morgan Pryor Sr. and Nancy Pryor. She was raised alongside her brother, Morgan Jr., in the small town of Brownstown, IL. She was surrounded by a large, loving family who were always making memories. Growing up, she formed many lifelong friendships from her time at Brownstown schools.
Christy lived a generous life, always going the extra mile for the ones who needed it most. A talented writer and editor, Christy took great pride in her work, lending her skills to numerous companies throughout her career, as well as through freelance projects. Her beautiful voice was used to praise Jesus, and it will be remembered forever.
She loved fiercely and was always in the corner for those who needed her love the most. You were always met with her infectious smile and a wonderful compliment each time she greeted you. She touched so many lives in her time here on earth.
Christy lived with her late husband, Joe Gallo, in Phoenix, Arizona. Together, their humor, kindness, and generosity brought love to all around them. They enjoyed the warm weather and the company of each other.
Christy leaves behind her brother, Morgan (Becky) Pryor, Grinnell, IA; niece, Taylor (Caleb) Cloe, of Brownstown, IL; step-nephews, Lane (Kiley) Thompson, of Tiffin, IA, and Luke Thompson (Beila), of Grinnell, IA; great-nephew, Gunner Casey, of Brownstown, IL; great-niece, Graeli Cloe, of Brownstown, IL; and step-son, Robert Gallo (Amy), of Blacklick, OH.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gallo; her mother, Nancy Pryor; and her father, Morgan Pryor Sr.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
