CaSandra J. “Cas” Sparling, 39, of Altamont, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, IL.

Cas was born on March 27, 1986, in Effingham, the daughter of Cecil Sparling Jr. and Sheila Haythorne. Cas found interest in the paranormal and enjoyed Troy Taylor ghost hunting expeditions and tours.
Cas is survived by her boyfriend, Thor Tolliver; uncle, Wyatt (Rhonda) Haythorne; and cousins, Capt. Ashton (Lauren) Haythorne and Aisley (fiancé, Johnathan) Haythorne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents, Wayne and Sharon Haythorne, and Cecil and Marie Sparling.
