Jimmie I. Hutchison, 72, of rural Effingham, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Family services will be held at a later date with burial in Hubbart Cemetery, rural Beecher City, IL. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, IL is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.
Jimmie was born on April 18, 1953, in Vandalia, IL, the son of Jim and Evelyn (Davis) Hutchison. Jimmie was a proud veteran of the United States Army and Navy. He was handy and could fix just about anything. Jimmie loved working on all types of machines.
Jimmie is survived by his brothers, Jerome Harry (Lynne) Hutchison, John Sidney (Marlene) Hutchison, and Jeffrey Davis (Jacqueline) Hutchison; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Debbie Koester Hutchison.
