Diana (Arrasmith) Delnero, 65, of St. Elmo, IL, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Online condolences may be shared at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.
Diana was born on September 23, 1960, in San Diego, CA, the daughter of Jackie Arrasmith and Donald and Edith (Williams) Allen. Diana graduated from Effingham High School in 1978. From there, she joined the workforce from places like 76 Truck Stop, Steak and Shake in Effingham, and Casey’s General Store. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, family cookouts, finding treasures at antique stores, and collecting glass ornaments. She enjoyed country music from artists like Tracy Lawrence and Alan Jackson. She enjoyed being a bonus grandma to her great-nephews and nieces. But more importantly, she loved being a mother to Aaron and Matthew.
Diana is survived by her son, Aaron Arrasmith of Effingham; brother, Chris (Ana) Arrasmith of Ewa Beach, HI; sister, Cindy (Jerry) Meinhart of Dieterich; nephews, Jacob (Stacy) Nelson, Perry and Nathan Arrasmith, and Craig (Holly) Neves; niece, Sarah (Jarod) Lin; great-nephews, Gaddison and Weston Goeckner and Brody Nelson; and great-nieces, Layla and Avery Nelson, Hadleigh Lin, and Emersyn Neves.
She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Hightower; parents and stepfather; and special friend, Ronald Miller.
