Kim was born July 10, 1968 in Effingham, the daughter of Larry and Kay (Buening) Vahling. She married Michael Rieman on July 30, 1988.

She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, caring sister, beloved daughter and treasured aunt. Her life was defined by love, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to the people she held dear. For many years, she worked as a cosmetologist, a career that perfectly reflected her caring nature. She didn’t just style hair—she listened, comforted, encouraged, and made people feel seen and beautiful.

After retiring, she found her greatest joy in caring for and spending time with her grandchildren, a role she embraced with endless love and pride. She found true happiness in playing games, reading, and teaching all the children in her life, filling their time together with laughter, warmth, and love. Through these simple moments, she created lasting memories and helped shape who they are, surrounding them with a deep sense of comfort and belonging that will stay with them always.

She was a true giver, always placing the needs of others before her own. She was everyone’s biggest supporter—celebrating victories, offering comfort during hardships, and loving without conditions. She loved with her whole heart, leaving an imprint that will never fade. Her kindness, strength, and selflessness will live on through the many lives she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, her love remains a guiding light for her family and all who were blessed to know her.

Kim is survived by her parents, Larry and Kay of Kissimmee, FL; husband, Mike of Teutopolis; daughters, Tarah (Brian) Haskenherm of Teutopolis, Kali (Darin) Worman of Dieterich and Maci (Lane) Belleville of Dieterich; grandchildren, Max, Walter, Constance, Mia, Mayven, and Arthur; sister, Vicki Willenborg of Teutopolis; in-laws, Cathy (Tony) Hille of Mason, Debbie (Mel) Wolf of Effingham, Scott (Becci Meyers) Rieman of Effingham, Jeff (Angi) Rieman of Teutopolis, and Tracy (Chad) McMahon of Beech Grove, KY; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
