Michael E. Fryman, 64, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at his home in Effingham.
A time of visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., family and friends are invited to join in sharing memories to celebrate Michael’s life. Online condolences may be expressed at www.bauerfh.com.
Michael was born January 2, 1961 in Carmi, the son of Albert Fryman and Shirley (Kissiar) McCormick. He married Rebecca “Becky” Kochera on October 16, 1982. Michael enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and camping, and was skilled in woodworking. At family gatherings, he could always be found entertaining the kids, earning him the beloved title of “the fun uncle.” Michael was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan. “Go Pack Go!”
Michael is survived by his wife, Becky of Effingham; brother, John McCormick of Beecher City; sister, Sandra Wakefield of Missions, TX; brother-in-law, Mike (Kathy) Kochera of Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Colleen Parker of Effingham; nieces, Ashley (Ryan) Harmon of Effingham, Amber (Sam) Miller of Altamont, Stacey Kansler and Brandi Kochera, both of Wisconsin; nephews, Alex McCormick and Cody Wakefield; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
