Lenore Jane Brummerstedt, 80, of rural Strasburg, IL, passed away at 8:56 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in her daughter’s home in Windsor, IL.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Strasburg, IL by Father Pawel Augustyniak. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.-noon on Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Swedish Lutheran Cemetery, near Stewardson, IL. Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
Lenore was born on October 9, 1945, in Chicago, IL, the daughter ofArthur Julius and Mary C. (Savant) Richerme. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family and her neighbors. Lenore was good at saying exactly what was on her mind and will be remembered fondly for her honesty. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church. Lenore married Jack Lewis Brummerstedt on May 12, 1962.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; sons, Jack Brummerstedt, Jr. of Morris, IL, Alan Brummerstedt of Strasburg, IL, and Ronald Brummerstedt of Mattoon, IL; daughter, Julie McGuire (Marty Wilcoxon) of Windsor, IL; eight grandchildren, Rebecca, Ronald, Jr., Alissa, Alexis, Casey, Danny, Rylee and Courtney; and four great grandchildren, Ryder, Stella, Lenora and Dawson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edward Richerme and John Richerme; twin-sister, Lynn Holford; and sisters, Doris Gray, Lois Rogers, Joan Paterimos, Marilyn Richerme and Mary Richerme.
