Daniel Dustin White, known affectionately as Dustin or Whitey to his loved ones, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, surrounded by his family at HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital in Shelbyville, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and cherished memories.

His legacy lives on through his mother and stepfather, Debbie (Jeff) Miller, his devoted children, Konnor (Nichole) White and Kierston White, and his adored grandson, Layne White, all of Shelbyville. His presence will be deeply missed by his loving siblings Danica White (Jason McCabe), Brandy Stiff, Beleena (Josh) Boehm, Nina (Matt) Clark, and Christopher (Kersyn) White, as well as his grandparents, Wanda and Eddie Williams. Dustin’s life was further enriched by his uncle Rick Sharp, aunts Rhonda Sharp and Kelsey White, significant other Kristina Muscott, her daughters Cabella and Brooklynn Williams, his step-siblings Tiffany (Kolby) Daniels, Jessyca King, and Brandy Brummet, his cherished dog Buck, and a host of nieces and nephews who felt his love in countless ways.
Dustin was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents Jessie and Velma White, grandfather Eldon Sharp, and his aunts Dee Dee White and Sherry Sharp, as well as his uncle Bud White.
Dustin was a member of Laborer’s Local 159 and the Shelbyville Moose Lodge 1294. He held a profound love for life’s simple pleasures, which he expressed through his many interests. Dustin found solace and freedom while riding his Harley. He was a fervent supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Chicago Cubs, and his passion for music was evident as he skillfully played guitar and drums. Dustin’s love for family was paralleled by his joy in being a grandfather, a role he embraced with open arms and a full heart. Dustin will be remembered for his days spent at River Front Campground, where he enjoyed the company of friends and the tranquility of nature. His prowess as a “stud bowler” from days gone by was a testament to his competitive spirit and zest for life.
A celebration of Dustin’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at LockartGreen Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the funeral home. In honor of his profound love for his family, a memorial has been established for his grandson, Layne White, to contribute to his savings account—a forward-thinking gesture by Dustin that reflects his thoughtful and caring nature. Dustin’s journey on earth may have ended, but the stories, laughter, and love he shared will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy is not one of sorrow, but a celebration of a life well-lived, full of passion, joy, and the unwavering love of a man whose spirit was as free and fierce as the fireworks on the day he was born.
