John “J.J.” Miller, 79, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.

John was born on October 6, 1946, in Olney, IL, the son of Samuel J. and Mary Elizabeth (Williams) Miller.
J.J. was an iron worker and worked at Crossroads Press since their beginning, even helping build the factory. He was a Mason. He was a car guy and loved old cars and Harleys. He was especially proud of his brown ’57 Chevy.
J.J. is survived by his daughters, Amie (Mike) Roche of Danville, IN, Angie (Todd) Sheppard of Princeton, IN, and Amber (Aaron) Howard of Dayton, OH; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and sister, Becky (Mike) Dehner of St. Charles, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
