Shirley Ann (Voelker) Dunnett, 93 years old, of Altamont, Illinois Died: On Saturday Morning October 25, 2025, at the Lutheran Care Center, Altamont, Illinois.
Shirley was born on May 24,1932 into the Christian family of Herman and Sophia (Krueger) Voelker at their home in Melrose Park, Illinois. Shirley married Edward K. Dunnett on July 25, 1953, and later moved to Texas where she was employed as a secretary for Texas University and raised a family. Edward preceded her in death 1995, and Shirley returned to Altamont in 2001 to be in close relationship to her family.
The funeral and burial services will be held on Tuesday November 4, 2025, at the Lutheran Care Chapel, Altamont at 1:00 pm with a visitation for family and friends beginning at 12:00 noon.
A Christian burial service will be in the Union Cemetery, Altamont, Illinois on the Voelker family lot after the funeral services.
