Alan Curtis Russell age 63, of Wheeler passed away Monday, October 6, 2025 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham, Illinois.
Memorial services celebrating Alan’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 10th, 2025, at the Wheeler Christian Church, 2900 E. Maple Street, Wheeler, Illinois 62479. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded to Mr. Russell.
Alan was born on April 26, 1962, in Aurora, Illinois the son of Charles Edward and Edith June (Watson) Russell. Alan worked in construction until his health no longer permitted. In his free time, he loved being outdoors. He liked to fish, garden and plant flowers. He treasured the time he spent with his granddaughter.
Alan will be loved and remembered by his companion, Bernadette Reichard of Wheeler, his children, Dustin Napier of Willow Hill and Crystal (Josh) Sutter of Newton; grandchildren, Autumn Sutter, D. J. Napier and Kevin Napier and step grandchildren Chloe Sutter and Cooper Sutter and sister, Kimberly Williams of Illinois.
His parents and siblings Angie Sisko and Kevin Russell preceded him in death.
