Cole grew up in Teutopolis, Illinois, and during high school moved to Sigel. He graduated from Dieterich High School and later worked for Caterpillar, where he was known for his dedication and hard work. Family was at the center of Cole’s life. He was a devoted father to his children, Noah Enlow, Landen & Wade Hanley, who will forever carry his love with them. He shared a special bond with his brothers, Trevon (Michelle) Hanley and Zach Hanley, and loved being “Uncle Cole” to Chloe, Claire, and Connor Hanley. Cole is also survived by his grandparents, Virginia “Jenny” Hanley, Sharon Fulk, & Roger Czerwonka.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don Fulk and Terry “Doug” Hanley, and his aunt, Angie Fulk.

Cole’s family circle was wide and close-knit. He was deeply loved by his aunts and uncles, Douglas “Shane” (Lindsey) Hanley, Rhonda (Tim) Burton, Cheyenne (Andy) Willenborg, Terry Fulk, Bobby (Cindy) Fulk, and Donnie Fulk. He grew up alongside many cousins who felt more like siblings, including Brittany Todd, Brooklyn Hanley, Kaitlyn and Dylan Burton, Hunter, Aria, and Maverick Willenborg, and Lacey Spicer with her children Coen, Amia, and Mateo, as well as Brandy and Blake Fulk, Natasha with her children Addison & Atticus, Tonya, and Rebecca with her children Lakeisha, Nevaeh, Amara, and Kyla. He had many other family members who held a special place in his heart.

Cole grew up in Teutopolis before moving to Montrose during high school and later settling in Sigel. He was known for his quick wit, clever jokes, and infectious sense of humor that could light up any room. Cole loved staying active and exploring life to the fullest. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers, camping under the stars, and discovering new places. He loved hanging out with his friends, always ready to share a laugh or a story. Cole had a playful, laid-back side and enjoyed smoking the good ole Mary Jane. He had a love for the simple pleasures of life, including music, good food, cheering on his beloved Chicago Bulls, and the company of those he cared about most. Cole especially loved spending time with his brothers, Trevon and Zach. Whether they were playing Xbox, riding four wheelers, or just joking around, these moments brought him great joy. Even with his busy lifestyle, Cole always made time for his children, nieces, nephew, and family. He cherished family gatherings, playing games, and being “Uncle Cole” to Chloe, Claire, and Connor Hanley. He was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need, always striving to ease others’ burdens even while carrying his own. His humor, kindness, and love of life left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him. Cole shared a meaningful chapter of his life with Briana, the mother of his son Wade. He also cared deeply for her daughters, Anola and Aurora, who were an important part of his world and who brought him joy in their own special ways.

Cole’s family would like to thank each of you for the love, prayers, and support you have shown during this difficult time. Your kindness and presence bring comfort and will never be forgotten.
