Joseph Lloyd “Joe” Briggerman of Windsor, Illinois formerly of Neoga, Illinois passed away at 12:11 PM Wednesday, August 13, 2025 in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center In Mattoon, Illinois.
He was born August 24, 1943 in Mattoon, Illinois the son of Dale Briggerman and Eleanor (Lockhart) Stone. Joe married Patricia “Pat” Russell October 25, 1963 in Neoga, Illinois. Pat passed away February 6, 2025. He worked at Associated Springs in Mattoon, Illinois for 20 plus years and later retired from Justrite Manufacturing in Mattoon, Illinois.
Joe was a Boy Scout leader 25 Years and assisted many boys including his sons attain their Eagle Scout rank. Joe was a member of Neoga First Christian Church, Wabash Masonic Lodge #179 and the Eagles Club, he enjoyed fishing, camping, old car shows, and especially spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Jeff Briggerman (Sara) of Kincaid, Illinois, Lori Warner (George) of Gays, Illinois, Lisa Warner (Mark) of Gays, Illinois, Michael Briggerman (Jill) Effingham, Illinois; grandchildren, Tyler (Allison), Brak (Jackie), Spencer (Andrea), Emmett (Emily), Blair (Nolan), Jordan (Lindsey), Jesika (Dylan), Kelsey, Cody (Michelle), Cassidy, and Jacob (Morgan); eleven great grandchildren and one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; brother, Errol Briggerman of Wendell, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Pat Briggerman
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sarah Bush METS Program.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM. in the Neoga First Christian Church. Visitation will be Sunday, August 17, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a Masonic Lodge Service at 7:00 PM in The Neoga First Christian Church and Monday from 10:00 AM until service time also in the Church. Burial will be in the Neoga Memorial Cemetery in Neoga, Illinois.
